I called my parents earlier today. I was actually returning their call, because I was sleeping when they called me in the morning and surprisingly I didn’t hear my phone ring. 
“Did you change your phone number again?” my dad asked.
“No, it’s the same one.”
“But it says “Private”..”
“Yea, I made it that way..”
And then..
NEWS FLASH: Dad got a new phone that comes with a camera!
He was so excited when he told me about the new features he found in that phone and I giggled when he said:
“If you call me with the 019 ***2211 number, your photo will appear on the screen!”
Aww.. my dad is so cute when it comes to telling me new stuff he have. 
I wanted to tell him that his previous phone have that feature too, but I didn’t wanna spoil the mood. *teehee* Then, when I told him that I no longer uses that number – he laughed.
“No wonder you never reply my SMS!!”
LoL! The daddy I know is no longer an old fashioned man. The daddy I know now is an up-to-date daddy! I remember when he first got a handphone that comes with an SMS feature, I taught him how to “write” and “send” SMS. He wasn’t really interested with those features at that time – as he think it’s quite confusing. Well, it was at that time. There were so many buttons to press on the phone to get to the SMS feature – plus the buttons for the alphabets.
So whenever my brother or me send him an SMS, it would be our lucky day if my dad DID reply. Like when I sent him a long SMS on his birthday, he replied:
“THANKYOU.GODBLESSYOU.”
Aww.. my daddy must’ve forgotten which was the space button and how to “unCAP” the letter.
Well, that was the “old” daddy. My daddy is a “new” man now.
Now that he knows I’m no longer using that other number, I’ll be expecting more SMS from him from time to time now – or even better, he’ll be sending me lots of MMS instead!

I remember he was one of the first person at having a cell phone, you now, those ones that were like heavy rocks!
But seems he wasn’t too keen on learning how to send sms when he got a new phone with this tool. Now, he usually send “indian sms” like: you come now. And replies: OK. LOL!
I learnt him how to use internet and the only site he uses is his bank online

Actually I set the phone for daddy. I put as much photo profile for all the frequent contacts in his phone. That really excites him. But that Samsung phone just cant play any Midi files or even accepts any file transfers from my phone so the ringtone is still the basic crappy ones. But he’s a cool dad now.

how cute!! i don’t even have a camera on my own cell phone!! and my dad doesn’t even know how to type! (he’s so technologically illiterate!!) But that’s such a neat way to stay connected to your parents!

aww…heheheheh i love handphones!!!! i get excited with new handphones. new feature. my dad is the hi-tech dad. he’s very up-to-date when it comes to handphone >__

Hiya!
Great dad you have!
O gosh..I never use that feature.
I call, and that’s it. And I seldom call back, only when I know who is calling me.
The terror of the phone made me throw out the normal housephone, and I switch off my mobile when I’m bussy.
I need that bit of freedom, and it saves money.
I don’t know how to sms… and untill now I don’t care. LOL!
I don’t have photo’s yet, but there is an update of my blog.

cute dad…haha..my dad [the late] never knows any hanphone, or any phone at all…old fella haha…they communicate the ancient yet still in use way … by face to face only

Wish I had some photos too.
They were all walking around making pictures with their phone cameras and such. But I haven’t seen one photo.
