I Went To Michael Learns To Rock Concert!

Am so pissed off with my RM1,200 digital camera that doesn’t work well at night. Bleh! I’m seriously considering a DSLR for my birthday next month. (unless someone out there wanna sponsor me one? *hint*)

By the way, the photos were taken in a rush because the security guard kept patting my back, telling me that taking photos or videos are a NO-NO. Cis.

I bumped into him when I was making my entrance to First World Hotel. ^_^

Uwaaaa.. we want more!!

If you ask me how was the concert? IT WAS AWESOME!! They sang most of their famous old-time songs like: 25 Minutes, Paint My Love, Wild Woman, You Took My Heart Away, The Actor, Sleeping Child and many more. Everyone (that includes me!) had so much fun singing along with them – I had sore throat after the concert.

If they’re coming again next month or next year or whenever, I WILL GO AGAIN! By hook or by crook, I WILL BE THERE. Only this time, I’ll be armed with a DSLR and taking much, much better shot of them. Especially their lead guitarist, Mikkel Lentz. Ahhh.. we would make a perfect couple, you know. Him and me. Hahahahahah!

After leaving the stadium, I tried my hands on gambling at the Genting casino.

I lost RM100.

*cries*

PS: I also bought MLTR DVD, CD and a T-Shirt too. The lad promoting their T-Shirt is hot! I can’t believe I didn’t take his photo! But at least he smiled at me when he saw I bought the T-Shirt. *heeeeeheeeee* :B

papajoneh : That was the first time I gambled bah. So losing RM100 ada sakit hati a bit. In fact, I almost wanted to withdraw another RM500 and gamble, but my heart told me today’s not my winning day. Hahaha!

The problem is not because of your camera. Now assuming you have selected Night settings and all that, the photos will still come out blurry because of camera stability problem, especially on Night setting where the exposure time is longer. If you look at my China tour night shots on my blog you will see the same problem. They were taken with a Canon A400 on Night setting. The blur is terrible. But if I had a tripod then there will not be a problem (I proved it when I came back). Even a DSLR may not solve this without a tripod for night shots.

Of course had you set up a tripod at the concert the security guard would have toss you off the mountain. :-)

Kay : You know how this camera is… kan?

Shana : Kalau aku dengan dia.. Hmph! Habis satu KK aku kastau ni. LOL!

Wombat : Great idea. I think I should invest on getting a tripod. Hmm..

Julian : Memang soi bah that day. Cis.

Gallivanter : I hope they have plans on migrating to Sabah. Kota Kinabalu in particular. :B

Nessa : Don’t think it’ll work. The security got muka garang. Misai also tebal.. :(

One of my favourite bands in the 90s (they were the greatest in 1996!), although I never saw them live. I missed them when they were in KK that year. AFAIK, no cameras/videos are ever allowed in any “true” concert, so consider yourself lucky with your bootleg. Bringing a DSLR to a rock concert? I think that’s a total no-no.

Thinking as a musician, I think once you get into people’s heads with your best compositions, you’re set for life. You can go on and on for years afterwards singing the same songs, and people will be willing to pay loads for it. Perhaps just do a little variation in the presentation, that’s all. I mean, MLTR has total classics The Actor, 25 Minutes and Someday in their set – that will remain timeless 50 years from now. McCartney, the Stones etc keep repeating the same songs they’ve played for 40 years, and still gross millions at tours whenever they go out.

the pictures aren’t that bad considering the dark it was and the much flashes there were!! so you can be pretty proud of your camera :)

Glad that you had such fun! oh, this boy is quite hot lol :B

maika : Hehe, nevermind, next time they come again, you can still go for their concert. I’m sure they’ll come again soon, since they have so many fans in Malaysia! :)

bengodomon : I’m sure MLTR would be one of the evergreen group in line with Sir Paul McCartney, Olivia Newton-John etc someday too. Although their songs were kind old, people seem to remember each and every lyrics of it. This proves that they have so many fans still. Hence why they keep coming to Malaysia for concert. ;)

Me, Myself and I : Ohh you bet! I had so much fun singing along their song. :B
