About 5 years ago, I started to explore the beauty of pixel graphics. I bought a pen tablet which costs me RM350 and started my venture into the pixel graphics community. As my drawings improved, I began showing them off on my free-hosted website. Luck must be on my side when a few “new friends” emailed me, asking if I’d take orders on pixel graphics for their websites.

Of course, I was delighted and was more than happy to draw for them. And before I knew it, I have began to draw a lot more graphics than I thought I’d be – soon after, I began to venture into the pixel graphic business, specializing in country graphics theme. I opened up my own graphic shop which I named Borneo Graphics.

Now you see, 5 years ago, shopping for a pixel graphic on my website was not as easy as it was on most websites selling graphics these days. Mine was a “manual” type of graphic shoppe. If you see a graphic you like, you email me and send me the payment and I’d send the graphic to you. LOL!! I wish I knew about ashop that time – a shopping cart software. ashop would TOTALLY made it much easier to my customers! (and me) Just install the software and I’d be on my way to a much easier and convenient shopping. *sigh* I was too young, I guess. And new too.

I no longer run Borneo Graphics today, because I no longer draw pixel graphics. Instead, I’ve grown a heavy interest with vector illustration. In fact, I’ve been practicing on my illustration drawing lately – and still not mastering it. Hahaha! But I’m confident that with much practice, I’d be able to get a hang of it soon. Just like how I did it with pixel graphics. Who knows someday, I’ll be reopening Borneo Graphics once again, only this time I’ll be offering vector illustrations WITH a shopping cart from ashop.

Now all I need is to do more sponsored post and a brand new, better pen tablet. (I’ve been practicing with a mouse lately…) :-(
