Despite the heavy rain (and election day), I attended a wedding dinner somewhere in Cheras last night. The invitation card stated that dinner will start at 7PM sharp, and I was already seated at my table by then.

7:30PM - There were only 4 of us at the table of 10.
I had chinese tea while waiting..

8:15PM - Still 4 of us. No signs of event starting anytime soon..
Typical Malaysians. (-_-)

I asked for Sprite. Getting bored.

8:35PM: Finally!

Hedgehog! (Kaya pau) and Honeydew + sago tong sui. Yumm!

.. there were 9 type of dishes served, but we were busy chatting (and eating) - so no photos of the rest. Heh.

I’m kinda disappointed tho.. they didn’t serve any wedding cake for us. What’s a wedding without the cake?? :-(

ROFL I went to a wedding a summer ago that served cookies and ice cream instead of cake because the bride doesn’t like cake! What a good idea to “live-blog” from a boring wedding- I really like the way they chose to decorate the chairs. :D

Cindy: Cookies & ice cream? That’s great!! I wish we have those last night too. *hee*

Hey, just dropping by, if you’re eating 9 dishes with only 4 person, the first 3 dishes is enough :P .

Cindy: True!! That’s why most of the other foods end up being “tah pao”. :B

your anti spam word “lomiding” reminds me of it. “puuuuunnn ssssiiiiaaa”.

and you’re excited here too. so early again. Hahaha. the last kayapau.. aduhh.. so creative!

Cindy: Cute kan the kaya pau? Too cute to eat too!

I so agree with you. What’s a wedding without the cake? It’s like the ultimate dish. It happened to me once. I waited and waited for the cake to be served but it didn’t get to us. Bummer that one.

i love going to weddings where there’s only 4 of us at a table. Hahahaah.. bukan apa.. just more food for us!! :) Yeah.. there was this once, sampai our meja, it wasn’t even a cake.. it was just a couple of candies, per person. Quite disappointing. The VIP only had cake. :(

if i am at a sit-down wedding reception, i dont really bother about cake. Im more on the soup hunting. Hahaha…especially if it is a Chinese sit down dinner. The soup is always my main course.

I dunno there lah Cin, but 8.45pm??? punya lambat mau start. I never attended a wedding that started that late. By 8pm pun guest sudah marah2 tu apa lagi yg mau nearly 9pm.

I tot in chinese weddings, the cake is fake punye? :P

I love the Hedgehog shaped kaya pau! First time see… kebaruan ba dis :B

Feel like saying something? Say lah.. :P
