ForeverTulip.com is running on WP 2.5, baby! Woohoo!
Normally I wouldn’t write an entry about my blog’s upgrade, but I feel like I owe it to her today – because she almost gave me a heart attack! SERIOUSLY, I thought I was gonna die when I keep getting this blank page on this blog right after upgrading.
So what did I do?
i. I prayed
ii. I text my brother, PapaJoneh & Azmeen.
iii. I tried to figure out the problem while waiting for their reply..
I swear I was THIS CLOSE to tears and deleting my whole blog and start a new, fresh content on ForeverTulip.com when I keep getting a blank page after refreshing numerous times.
Until I finally saw this:
Error connecting to database
WOOHOO! Now I know the problem!!! It’s my config.php!! (I changed the config.php out of desperation trying to load the page) I have no idea what caused the earlier problem (blank page), probably some files got corrupted while uploading through FTP.
In short, what happened was:
+ I upload WP 2.5
+ Refresh and BLANK!!!
+ I re-upload WP 2.3.3 instead
+ Refresh and still BLANK!!!
+ I edit the config.php (hahahah)
+ Refresh and still BLANK!!
+ Re-upload WP 2.5
+ Refresh and Database Error (Woohoo, this is good news!)
+ Edit config.php
+ Refresh
TADAAAAAA!!! I solved it on my own!!
Man… all this for an upgrade. One lesson I learn though.
{{ Always, ALWAYS do a backup of your blog. }} You’ll never know what’s gonna happen next.

Now try uploading some images
My other blogs are fine, only this blog ada problem with the image uploading. Can upload, but once submitted to post, the flash uploader went blank.Eeeee.. stupid WP!
Update: I managed to fix it!! YAY!!

my blog is still on holiday. will inform the rest of the world too about this great upgrade after today done. one week holiday for the blog bah.

Girl, I wish I knew what you’re talking about!! Sian bah sia ni, inda tau apa2 pasal upgrade-mengupgrade. Blog pun masih lagi pakai Blogspot… I want to have my own domain but I’m so blur, I dunno wat to do
I think I saw you mentioned somewhere about wanting to purchase a domain (and probably host). The thing is, if you migrate to Wordpress on your own dot com, you CAN import ALL your posts and comments from Blogger into the new blog! :-)

Again I have to agree with Nessa. Kesian bah grandma ni sudah tua, ndak tau pasal upgrade-mengupgrade. Sudah beli New Domain belum lagi ada reply. Menunggu sampai tua sudah umur grandma satu minggu. What to do next ah Cindy… I’m blur.
Grandma, I’ve no idea what took that company to get your domain + host so long! Normally, we’d get our login info in less than 24hrs.. unless, the domain name you purchased is owned by someone and the hosting co. is still negotiating with the owner?

OMG – I better have some standby help before I attempt any upgrading. Luckily I haven’t felt that adventurous to try upgrading yet :-p

Thanks for updating for me sis. Last night I got a shock also. Was trying to reply some comments when it asked me to put in my name and stuff in the comment area even when I was logged in..?
