I have a few material leftovers of my bedroom curtain and I thought why waste it? So, armed with a pair of scissors, UHU glue and Sarah Connor on the background, I managed to create my very own English-y lampshade.
I also spray painted the lamp stand into black. (the original color was gold)

My aunt saw this creation and commented that she preferred the gold stand. But I personally think gold colored stand doesn’t go perfectly with the peach shade because it doesn’t make the shade stand out. What do you think?

I think it’s really pretty… because it’s hand-made!
And ya, I think black stand is better. I imagine the gold stand and macam nda ngam pula keekekee…

That is pretty cool and definitely doesn’t look like something you just made with leftover curtains! I agree- gold wouldn’t look right, IMO. Well done, you have more creativity than I have in my pinky!

I really like the flora design, very chic! I’m always on the lookout for nice fabric to revamp my deco too.

Very nice, I laik the material. Camana ko kasi lakat teda gelembung2 ah? Gold would be out IMHO but I prefer if it’s white, masing2 punya citarasa ba kan

That was a job well done! I think both black and gold stands looks okay. The colour goes well with the wall colour and photoframes.
