The young woman who wrote the melody and lyrics for “If I Were a Boy” had no idea Beyonce had even recorded her song until a stranger called with the news. By then, it was too late.
BC (her initials, legend has it, are for “beautiful child”) got a cold dose of reality this summer when it comes to the record business. According to sources, she and her manager/mother have been strong-armed by Beyonce’s people and others who saw gold in “If I Were a Boy” and didn’t care how they got it.
Man, I really don’t know how true is this accusation, but I know I really like this song. I would tell any boy to listen to this one so they’d understand a girl’s feelings.. somehow.

And this is Beyonce’s version.
Honestly, I prefer BC Jean’s version. I think her vocal with a slight raspy flavor suits this kind of song.
But that’s just me.

i like the chorus of the song but yeah…mcm syiok pula itu BC yang nyanyi. somehow, i can feel the intensity of the meaning of the song (whatever that is which i understood) when BC sang it.

Bad Beyonce! I don’t like BC’s voice, sounds like she’s got the flu, and the song arrangement is like something a girl band would do. :-)

Wah, like dat ka pulak? Beyonce’s voice rocks. but i dont know abt BC. haven’t heard it yet
more so, the song seriously is damn nice~! and this song ar, patut ni all the guys out there listen to..so they know how to treat women right =)
