It’s a warm Saturday afternoon. Head is spinning from the excessive heat that’s coming inside from the wide-opened balcony door. Back in our kampung, warm Saturday like this is when we’ll start making banana fritters and hot coffee to drink at the front porch with out cousins and relatives next door.

Ahh.. such a beautiful life we have back there.

*yawn*

So what can I do on a warm Saturday as this here in KL?

Work on my graphic designs? Start planning for a better business strategy? Getting a business insurance as well? Or maybe bake cupcakes to give to the neighbors? Wash the clothes? Call my girlfriends to gossip?

*yawn*

But why am I yawning?? What does yawning have to do with this warm weather?

Well..according to Wikipedia:

Yawning is a reflex of simultaneous inhalation of air and stretching of the eardrums, followed by exhalation of breath. Pandiculation is the act of stretching and yawning simultaneously.

Yawning is associated with tiredness, stress, overwork, lack of stimulation, and boredom. Yawning can also be a powerful non-verbal message with several possible meanings, depending on the circumstances. In humans, yawning has an infectious quality (i.e., seeing a person yawning, talking to someone on the phone who is yawning, or just thinking of yawning can trigger yawning) which is a typical example of positive feedback. Infectious yawning has also been noted in chimpanzees.

Aha. Stress and lack of stimulation (and boredom) is definitely what I’m feeling right now. Hence the yawn lah.. Maybe I should just de-stress myself and take a nice, long weekend sleep lah – I’m sure by the time I wake up, my fiance would be home by then. With his presence around, stress would be gone for sure! *wink* *wink* (lots of things to do mah.. can watch DVD, can go window shopping, get foot massage from him etc etc)

Oh well, I think I’ll go take a nap first. I just couldn’t stop yawning!
