And speaking of new design, I wonder when I can start working on my new blog skin. I’m so sick of my current blog look! I need more time so I can finish everything and start working on my own blog! >______<

So the movie Lorax. It was a great movie, educating us humans on how important trees are.

Do you love trees?

I do.

I remember as a child, my parents had to chop off this tree at our backyard because it was tilting towards our home from the hill (could fall on our house anytime, my mom said) and there I was, feeling sad and angry for having to witness the ‘killing’ of a tree. I wanted to scream and stop them. I didn’t feel like talking to them after. Of course, it was for the safety of our family and I was just too emotional with the tree chopping. Now a grown up girl, I would LOVE to have my house surrounded by beautiful trees. But I couldn’t. It impossible to have a tree in an apartment! So what did I do? I buy potted plants of course. It’s not a lot, but I’ve got a few pots already. Currently, I’m sowing a few Aristotle Basils in my pink pot and I can’t wait to see them grow beautifully! The seeds are quite pricey (got it from eBay, of course) but it’s cheaper than getting a djarum. Besides, it’s so much healthier. *wink* Wish me luck in my green finger endeavor. :-P

She’s hot! Kaaaan?

Got the ash on my forehead yesterday at St. Thomas Church, Kepayan. We got there half an hour earlier and only to find that it was packed with people and there was no seat left! For the first 15 minutes we were standing, my fiance was already complaining. 20 minutes later, I complained how painful my legs are. Then we poked my sister’s back.

“What?”

“But we just arrived like 20 minutes ago?!”

…..

So we I forced myself to take the pain, took my lavender-colored hand fan out of my bag and start fanning myself. It’s burnin hot, yo! Anyway, I must say that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the choirs of St. Thomas Church, Kepayan. They have awesome song arrangement and beautiful voices (tho there are some salah gitar code at some certain songs, but all is forgiven!) and great choice of hymns. Me loike! I think it’ll be more awesome if they can afford to get good guitars like washburn electric guitars for their team. Would be awesome to have electric guitar in a church. *wink* Oh! I also love the fact that they used a piano (using a keyboard) for most of their hymns. Sooooo nice. Thumbs up for your guys and girls at St. Thomas Church, Kepayan. :-)

I know it’s the month of Lent and we’re supposed to humble ourselves, be kind, pray always and all that goodie stuff.. but I think it’s not so wrong to show off a bit of a design work that I did last week. I made a custom design blog!

Oh! Just so you know.. we managed to go through the whole session of Ash Wednesday mass. I sang ALL of the hymns and we left the church after the mass ended.

Last night I was up late, working on some designing work that could earn me a few bucks, maybe even spare some changes to get them ralph lauren coupons for Christmas. I swear to God I heard ‘something’ at the door. Even the puppy looked puzzled and angry when it happened. I really should move to another apartment!

My laptop is sadly demised. Maybe it was her ‘spirit’ that came to visit, since she never said her goodbye before ‘leaving’ away with my greatest possessions with her: my collection of beautiful (purchased) fonts, work portfolio, graphic elements, PS brushes etc. *sigh* This is the reason I’m broke and started to pray. My laptop died so a replacement is urgently needed for my piling graphic design works. :-( Anyway, I’m posting this blog post from my new desktop. *hee* I opted for a desktop instead of a laptop because I think it’s better for my graphic design activity. And since I just hit a new project with one of the dept (Govt Dept).. I’ll be making some extra $$$! Maybe I’ll get a brand new laptop with that $$$!!

Or save them in ASB.

Or just save them in ASB for rainy days.

Oh God. One can die over here. If there’s no such thing as the air-cond in this world, I think I would’ve died a month ago. It is THAT hot! Well maybe it’s not as hot as the desert, but STILL. It’s not good for my hair! And skin, for that matter. Can you imagine what it would about like to have a cold, freezing weather in Sabah? Picture me (or yourself) on the CozyWinters.com heated mattress pad, sipping margarita, watching reruns of Desperate Housewives all day long while the man complains about not having enough food on the table. LOL.. what a scene it would be.

So yeah.. a nice cold weather would be nice for us KKians.

Anyway, my sister suggested to me that we should sign up for the Mount Kinabalu climbing expedition come February. “There’s a promo going on!”, she said. Uhm.. first of all, I’m not THAT fit. Yet. Second of all, I do not have all the equipments or clothes for that. Not even a cortech sport tail bag. Most importantly.. I do not have that enthusiast, yet. Maybe when I’m done with my 30 Days Shred, I will consider it.

Anyway.. whoa..it’s so hot today. Anyone for ice-cream? Let’s head to the beach!

But to sum it up, I’m really glad our things finally arrived safely. No box went missing and no items were stolen too, as far as I can tell.

Of course the paint on the walls are brand new but I’d like to have something different. Something that reflects ‘me’. He he he. And this time, I WILL turn this house into something sweet. *fingers cross* I don’t care what my fiance will say, too girlish, too soft.. he will have to take it or leave it. LOL.

Oh dear, I need to do so many things but we’re still car-less. Waiting for my aunt to come over now.. we’ll be using one of her car until our car arrives. In the mean time, I guess I would have to start cleaning the house since we do not have any Internet access to use those free downloader to get new movies. LOL. But thank God for broadbands la. At least I get to go on the Internet still!

Then I started to work from home as a freelance before venturing into something totally different. A job that requires me to work at night. NOT as a kupu-kupu malam, ok?! :-P

Anyway, now that we’re moving to another state again..I’d like to start anew. I want to be a Graphic Designer again!! So boys and girls, please start sending in your graphic design/blog design requests again starting JANUARY 2012! *hee* I’m moving on December and I need to setup my studio again, get some humidor and some pretty decent decoration, new paint for the walls and probably a brand new computer. I can’t wait!!

Normally, I’d play Christmas music at the beginning of December. This year, I started playing it mid November. I’m feeling so Christmassy, perhaps? *hee* Also, maybe the fact that my fiance just got a very good job offer from this huge company and that we’re moving soon – just made my day. (or month!) And despite the hassles of packing stuff (again), I am glad to know that THIS could be the final packing I’ll make – except when we buy our new home and have to move again lah..

And the thought of being at home for Christmas is just so nice…. Being surrounded by the people that you grow up with, a pet that thought she’s human like us..and a neighborhood where everyone knows everyone! Oh I hope there’ll be weddings coming up! Last year we celebrated the grand wedding of my cousin, Will..and boy, did everyone had so much fun! I should’ve gotten his new wife a sexy wedding lingerie and make her wear it on her hens night! LOL

Oh well, hopefully there’ll be another cousin getting married this Christmas – I sooo cannot wait to eat some wedding cakes! Ha ha ha
