Let’s get personal. :P

bloom where you are planted

25th Jun 2015

For the past 3 days, we have been visiting my aunt Mina at her home. The old lady who has been living at the ground floor of her home had passed away 3 days ago. She was an aunt of aunt Mina’s husband. A widow who do not have a child of her own.

I remember the night when my mom and I stood next to her coffin, my mom whispered to me, “kesian juga orang yang tiada anak, kan?” (It’s just sad to see people whom are childless”. I agree with her. The old lady got married twice, and both marriage did not gave her any child.

What if the same thing happened to me? What if I was destined to be alone and not having anyone to grow old with, or worse, not having any children to take care of? Will I manage to be as strong as the old lady?

But the Lord has answered those questions for me even before I asked:

“For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe! plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you, says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14)

On another note, today’s post title has a lot to do with the flowers my mom and I planted around the new house – well, now that we’ve been living here the past 6 months, it’s not so new anymore. *teehee* We have yellow flowers, pink, reds, white… oh, we also have pineapples, veggies, fruits etc! It’s such a pleasant view to look at from my office window with all the colorful flowers. I could just sit on the chair and do nothing on the computer but stare at them. I just wish that we have a bench or a gazebo outside at the garden so I can just sit outside with my laptop and work. Speaking of laptop, mine had unfortunately died on me. It probably needs some professional help to revive it back to life – or it probably need some TLC from Laptop Battery Express Asus Batteries.

That is something that I need to add into my ‘To-Do-List’. Oh, and a bench (or a gazebo too).

But as always, I am thankful with what I currently have. Anything more than that will be a generous blessings from the Lord above..

Sunday Morning

15th Mar 2015

Hello, again! I’m so glad to be back here after a long break. In my last post, I mentioned about moving into a new home. 3 months into the new home, we have planted veggies at the backyard, replaced the wild grasses with those that doesn’t need mowing. Even flowers have begin to bloom!

“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established;
by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” (Proverbs 24:3-4)

One of the best thing about living on a landed house is that the postman get to deliver parcels right at your door step (or the entrance gate) I was really pleased to find my parcels from USA delivered to my home last week, and I did not have to travel all the way to the post office to queue up and pick my parcels from the counter. That’s what ‘online shopping’ really means! *Ü*

Now I must stop typing and get back to my chores. Just did some house cleaning on the basement. I must now proceed at the first floor, but not until I’ve had my breakfast. Have you had yours? It’s a beautiful Sunday indeed. Go out, take your loved ones for a good lunch and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

in His blessings

15th Dec 2014

About a month ago, while I was in my bedroom with my dog enjoying the cool air coming out from the air-conditioner, I picked up a book at the corner of my bed: it was a gift from a dear old friend who came visiting late last year. Somehow, the book (which has begun to collect dust) caught my attention. As soon as I read the first page, I was hooked. Before I knew it, I found myself already on page 49.

“God leads us. God will do the right thing at the right time.”

Then BOOM! There it was…the answer to all the problems I have been telling God in all my prayers and whines. It was so true and powerful that I went under the blanket and began sobbing uncontrollably. If you have been a long time reader of my blog, you’d probably understand why…

Fast forward to present, I am in the midst of packing to move to a perfect home! A LANDED house! A home with spacy lawn and backyard; a place where my dog could run freely and a place where I can plant flowers and vegetables. God is indeed a good God. He made me wait for a long time because He has plans for me. He kept His promise and He got me the perfect home – I couldn’t ask for more!

“Let us therefore boldly approach the throne of our gracious God, where we may receive mercy and in His grace find timely help.” (Heb. 4:16)

And here I am, seated at my almost-bare mini studio office posting this.

Must take a photo in my studio office before I move. :P

Forgive me please for the messy background. Please also ignore the empty plastic bottle under the table, that was the work of my dog! He enjoys crushing empty bottles and he leaves them all over the house! As you can see also, the book shelf is close to empty. I have removed some books, photos and decos off the wall. I have about 2 weeks left to pack everything and I am not even close to packing a quarter of my stuff. Eeeep!

But as God has said, don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will have it’s own worries. Each day has enough trouble of it’s own.

To my good olde friend, Mozad.. THANK YOU for the gift of love and the book “Traveling Light” by Max Lucado. May you be blessed abundantly!

It’s been a while

11th Jul 2014

Well, hello there blog! How long has it been?

Wow, a lot has happened during my ‘absence’ from this blog. But before I go into the minor details of what’s happening (or happened), let me tell you something: I MISS blogging. I know… ever since Facebook took over my ‘online life’, I seem to be writing (or rant) a lot over there – and so there’s just nothing to write about in the blog.

Until recently when Kenny pointed out that it was through blogging that we made lots of friends, and it was the blog that made us really speak out our true feelings. Which is true! I wouldn’t have good and close friends as far as Spain, Canada & Sweden if it wasn’t for blogging! So this is the reason why I logged to my blog tonight. I miss this blog. And I miss blogging. It is here that I can truly speak my heart out without having to worry if someone would hit the ‘Like’ button on it or comment for that matter. And from now onward, I will *try* to log more and blog more. Ha ha

But for now, I will save my stories for my next post because it’s 1:08AM right now. I’m flying outstation tomorrow to meet someone who might be able to change my course of life and future… and I still haven’t packed!

Will let you know the outcome once I’m back. And if you’re kind enough, please say a prayer for me.. that my future plan will succeed.

God bless.

i was at ron thal’s concert!

9th Nov 2013

uhm, the concert was quite recent.. like a few days ago lah! i just didn’t have the time to login to my blog and post. he he he. but yeah, i was at ron thal’s concert. AND AND AND i managed to meet him backstage to have a short chat with him and take a photo with him! woohooo!!! (the perk of being engaged to a musician, ey?) *heeee*

and here’s a pic:

yes i know, i know…i look so chubby in the pic – but that’s not the point! the whole point here is that i took a photo with one of the world’s greatest guitarist! (he’s also the lead guitarist for guns and roses, ya know?) heeee. of course, i didn’t wanna tell you how envy i was that my fiance get to spend time with him during his visit to kk. my fiance was one of the entourage with ron thal. they sat in the same vehicle, they dined together, blablabla. oh there you go, i just told you! but seriously, ron thal’s music is like out of this world. his choice of note and music. i don’t get it! not my type of music, but my fiance plays sing music all the time that i have began to admire his skill.

anyway, the main point here is that i met ron thal. i shook hands with him and i took a pic with him! YAY!
