…because I’m still around! -only I’ll be spending most of my time watching the Olympic games. And since I’m turning myself into a couch potato, I don’t think I have time to drag myself to buy a new card reader — that means no photos to show and less time to blog or blog hop — at least for a couple of weeks.

HOWEVER

I leave you with another joke that I’m pretty sure would make you laugh your *cough* off. :þ

A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered. Upon arrival, the doctor said he’d invented a new machine that would transfer a portion of the mother’s labour pain to the father. He asked if they were willing to try it out.

They were both very much in favour for it, so the doctor set the knob to 10 percent for starters, explaining that even 10 percent was probably more pain than the father had ever experienced before.

As the labour progressed, however, the husband felt fine, so he asked the doctor to go ahead and bump it up a notch. The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20 percent pain transfer. After a while, though, the husband was still feeling fine. The doctor checked his blood pressure and pulse and was amazed at how well he was doing. At this, they decided to try for 50 percent. The husband continued to feel quite well.

Since it was obviously helping out his wife considerably, he encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him, and the wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain. She and her husband were ecstatic and they were allowed to leave the hospital that evening. When they arrived home, they found the milkman dead on their doorstep.

This professor had a lie-detecting chair. Whenever anybody sitting on it told a lie, the chair would open up and the person would fall flat on the ground. As part of his experiment, a young brunette came in and sat down. The professor asked her to talk about herself.

‘I think,’ she began, ‘I’m the most beautiful girl in this region, and perhaps even in the whole world!’ Immediately after she said that, the chair opened up and she landed flat on her butt. She stormed out and a young blonde was invited in to sit on the chair.

She sat down and was invited to talk about herself. ‘I think…’ she began, and suddenly the chair opened up and she fell flat on her butt!

Small Talk: Wouldn’t it be nice to have a lie-detector machine of your own, for futures trading sake? :þ

The last few days, I noticed my brother’s nick on his IM was Gluteus Maximus. I thought this was another of his crazy nick inventing - he has been using other nicks like Persatuan Pertanian, Smoking Is Good, Pertanian adalah Perusahaan etc.

..until I heard the news from him that is. ¬¬

I got tagged by Dina some time last week. I must say, at this moment, this is one very tough Tag for me, as it brings me back down memory lane.. If it’s not to sappy to admit, I actually had tears welling up my eyes while doing this.

I’m gonna make this really simple and short. So here goes:

“I wish to go back to the age of 22, because that was when my life changed. I finished college, I met someone, I got a job without having to go through interviews and stuff. I gained new experiences: both good and bad. I learned new stuff. I see things. I get things that I would never dream of getting my hands on.

Looking back, had I known that what happened when I was 22 would eventually lead to what I am today, I would’ve done things differently. So different that it would change my life’s history.”

I’m sorry for not being a sport, but I don’t think I’m gonna tag anyone this time.

I’m Feeling The Love

During the 3 months of my absence, I have been getting lots of emails from both friends and total strangers. Now, friends would normally ask questions like - am I OK, do I need someone to talk to, am I planning to make a comeback soon, diet tips (etc) - while strangers would ask for free Wordpress theme, custom design service, ~~am I looking for a spouse~~ (etc). And can you believe it, there are a few strangers from well-known company who actually emailed me offering a job in their company as web designer.. Not bad, huh for a small-time freelance designer like me? :-P

With all these emails coming into my mailbox, it made me wonder what brought these people to my blog. So I hit my web stats to see what keywords they used that made Forever Tulip one of their many pit stops.

I must say, I am quite amused.

OK, I know I said I hated my neighbor - which probably why you found my blog..
But GRO Sabahan?!!

Up next is the bloody mouse. Hmm.. it’s probably from my old post of my dead mouse. But why call it bloody? That ain’t nice, ya know..

I Aint Heavy, I’m His Sister

The other day, I send a pic of me to my brother’s phone. I included the text “Kurus already me, kan? :-P” He replied, “You Photoshopped it?”

Of course not. And to prove my honesty, I challenged him on a weight-loss competition.

“Let’s compete. See who can lose weight the most by Christmas.”

“Game on!”

Ever since I gained 10kg, I have been trying to shed the weight off as much as I can - possibly before Christmas. And of course, I have been avoiding meeting with friends (especially old friends) because I didn’t want them to have a shock of their life seeing me in a much fuller version. Wouldn’t be nice hearing people say, “Wow, how much you’ve grown!” no?

But I guess I can never avoid anyone for long. Last Monday, I accidentally bumped into an old friend.

“Could you not make any movement for a while? I wanna take a look at you!”

“Bigger, right?” I smirked.

He paused for what feels like an eternity before saying,

“Oh no. No change at all. Still the same ole, same ole.”

Heh. I hope he’s being honest, because that definitely made my day. I can finally say that I AM losing weight. And I am winning my brother. No more eating fruits-only for the rest of my life. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Small Talk: I really should try to lose at least 20kg.. mana lah tau tahun depan kahwin.. I can wear those sexy bridal lingerie! LOL!
