For the past 3 days, we have been visiting my aunt Mina at her home. The old lady who has been living at the ground floor of her home had passed away 3 days ago. She was an aunt of aunt Mina’s husband. A widow who do not have a child of her own.
I remember the night when my mom and I stood next to her coffin, my mom whispered to me, “kesian juga orang yang tiada anak, kan?” (It’s just sad to see people whom are childless”. I agree with her. The old lady got married twice, and both marriage did not gave her any child.
What if the same thing happened to me? What if I was destined to be alone and not having anyone to grow old with, or worse, not having any children to take care of? Will I manage to be as strong as the old lady?
But the Lord has answered those questions for me even before I asked:
“For I know well the plans I have in mind for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare, not for woe! plans to give you a future full of hope. When you call me, when you go to pray to me, I will listen to you. When you look for me, you will find me. Yes, when you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you, says the Lord.” (Jeremiah 29:11-14)
On another note, today’s post title has a lot to do with the flowers my mom and I planted around the new house – well, now that we’ve been living here the past 6 months, it’s not so new anymore. *teehee* We have yellow flowers, pink, reds, white… oh, we also have pineapples, veggies, fruits etc! It’s such a pleasant view to look at from my office window with all the colorful flowers. I could just sit on the chair and do nothing on the computer but stare at them. I just wish that we have a bench or a gazebo outside at the garden so I can just sit outside with my laptop and work. Speaking of laptop, mine had unfortunately died on me. It probably needs some professional help to revive it back to life – or it probably need some TLC from Laptop Battery Express Asus Batteries.
That is something that I need to add into my ‘To-Do-List’. Oh, and a bench (or a gazebo too).
But as always, I am thankful with what I currently have. Anything more than that will be a generous blessings from the Lord above..
